Birth chart guide
If you're looking for a free birth chart reading online, here's the short version: open Eira in Telegram, enter your date, time, and place of birth, and within seconds you'll see your chart — planets, houses, aspects — plus a plain-language reading next to it, no jargon required.
A natal chart (also called a birth chart) is a snapshot of the sky at the moment you were born: where the Sun, Moon, and other planets stood, in which zodiac signs, and in which of the twelve houses. Astrologers read it as a kind of portrait — what tends to stand out in your character, where things come more easily, and where you tend to put in more effort. It isn't a prediction of the future; it's more of a language for understanding yourself better.
To calculate a birth chart you need three things.
Your day, month, and year — together with your place of birth, they determine which signs the planets were in.
Determines how the sky was tilted at your location — needed together with the date.
Determines the houses — twelve sectors of the chart that show which area of life (career, relationships, home, health, and so on) a given theme plays out in.
If you don't know your exact birth time, that's not a reason to skip the reading. Eira will still build your chart from your date and place: the planets, signs, and aspects between them stay accurate. Only the houses and the ascendant stay unavailable until you find your birth time (a birth certificate or hospital record usually has it). You'll see this right in the app: the Houses tab is hidden, while the rest of the chart works as usual.
This isn't just a picture of a zodiac wheel. Around it, Eira builds an actual reading:
Planets, signs, houses, and aspects — as a graphic wheel and a table, built from your real birth data, not a template.
A written reading of the essentials: your Sun, Moon, and Ascendant, in plain language, grounded in the specific placements in your chart.
A general overview plus ten individual readings — love, career, finances, health, and more — each built from your own chart.
Six sections on recurring lessons and lunar nodes — the patterns your chart asks you to work with.
Practical pointers for the current period; the tip of the day is free for everyone, forever, even after the trial ends.
A daily forecast, weekly and monthly forecasts, and a dedicated 'Your Period' section — which transit is active right now and what it means — free for anyone with a chart.
Ask about your chart in your own words — Eira answers using your actual planets and houses, not generic zodiac lines.
Here's what a fragment of a foundational reading sounds like — the name and data are fictional, the style is real:
Your Sun in Scorpio in the 8th house points to a character that has little patience for the surface — you want to get to the bottom of things, whether in conversation, at work, or with yourself. This placement often comes with a gift for moving through change and coming out the other side more whole, even though the process of transformation itself is rarely easy…
Spheres, karma, and forecasts are built the same way — from your real planets, not generic lines for your sign.
